Brakes That Stop You. Pricing That Doesn't Surprise You.

Brakes are not where you cut corners — and they're also not where you let a shop pad the bill. Rudy fixes what your brakes actually need: if the pads are fine and it's a caliper, that's what you'll hear. Safe, straight, and honest.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Why are my brakes grinding or squealing?

Squealing often means the pads are worn to their wear indicator. Grinding usually means the pads are gone and metal is contacting the rotor — that's more urgent and can damage rotors. Either way, get it checked soon; brakes only get more expensive the longer you wait.

How do I know if I really need new rotors?

Rotors need replacing when they're worn below spec, warped (you'll feel a pulsing pedal), or scored. Not every brake job needs new rotors — some shops replace them automatically to raise the bill. We measure them and tell you the truth.

How long do brakes last?

It depends heavily on how and where you drive — Houston stop-and-go traffic wears brakes faster than highway miles. Most pads last anywhere from 30,000 to 70,000 miles. We'll tell you how much life yours have left at every visit.

Why is my brake pedal soft or going to the floor?

A soft or sinking pedal can mean air in the lines, a fluid leak, or a failing master cylinder — all things that affect your ability to stop. This is a safety issue. Don't keep driving on it; bring it in right away.
